The Acer Chromebook Spin 11 (2017) is a great Chromebook for its $279 asking price.

The Acer Chromebook Spin 13 CP713-1WN-53NF (2019), however, while a reasonable product for $839, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well. If you're considering Chromebooks in the $820 range, you might want to check out some better options.

The Acer Chromebook Spin 11 (2017) was loved by reviewers at PCmag, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The Best Chromebooks for 2021" roundup where it was named its "Best for Grade-School Students, Light Browsing", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Moving on to the Acer Chromebook Spin 13 CP713-1WN-53NF (2019): it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like Techradar, Expert Reviews, PCmag, Digital Camera World, and Wirecutter (NYTimes), enough for them to include them on those lists.

To get a better idea of how they fare when compared directly to each other, we analyzed review scores of sources that tested both. PCmag, for example, preferred the Acer Chromebook Spin 11 (2017), while Techradar rated both of them the same.

We also took a look at which sources had the best things to say about them. We learned that the Acer Chromebook Spin 11 (2017) got reviewed the highest by Techradar - it gave it a rating of 9, while the Acer Chromebook Spin 13 CP713-1WN-53NF (2019) most impressed reviewers at Gadget Review, which gave it a score of 9.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Chromebooks on the market.
