The Asus TUF Gaming FX505DT-AH51 (2019) managed to earn a spot in roundups from two sources that are known for their trustworthy review methodology - PCGamesN and Techradar - but fell short of making it to the top of their lists.
Returning to the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-44-R99Q (AMD, 2020), it managed to impress reviewers from two sources that are considered to be some of the most highly trusted on the internet, thanks to their in-depth hands-on testing - Laptop Mag and Wirecutter. It performed great in their respective Gaming Laptop roundups - it was named "Best AMD Ryzen gaming laptop under $1,000" by Laptop Mag and "Ranked 3 out of 4" by Wirecutter. That's quite an endorsement, especially coming from such high-quality sources.
We tried doing a direct Asus TUF Gaming FX505DT-AH51 (2019) vs. Acer Nitro 5 AN515-44-R99Q (AMD, 2020) review score comparison but couldn't find any sources that tested both.
