Samsung 860 EVO Series SSDs vs Adata SX6000 Pro Series SSDs

Analysis:

The Samsung SSD 860 EVO 2.5" 250GB and Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB make for very strong choices and are great Internal SSDs for their respective $59 and $119 asking prices. Depending on how much you're willing to spend, either of these options will serve you well.

The Samsung SSD 860 EVO 2.5" 250GB has done really well in a number of roundups conducted by sources that perform reliable hands-on testing, like Reviewed, Tom's Hardware, Expert Reviews, and Android Central - it ended up getting the "Top Pick" title from Reviewed, "Best Consumer SATA SSD" from Tom's Hardware, and "The best SATA SSD you can buy" from Expert Reviews. That's high praise coming from reliable sources.

As for the Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB - it was really well-received by reviewers at PCmag, a great source that's known for conducting high-quality in-depth testing. It performed great in its "The Best PCI Express NVMe Solid State Drives (SSDs) for 2020" roundup and was named its "Best for M.2 Value Seekers", which, on its own, makes it a product that warrants a closer look.

When we thoroughly analyzed their review scores, we learned that all of the sources that tested both Internal SSDs, including Expert Reviews and PCGamesN, preferred the Samsung SSD 860 EVO 2.5" 250GB over the Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB.

We also took a look at which sources they managed to impress the most. The Samsung SSD 860 EVO 2.5" 250GB was liked best by Expert Reviews, which gave it a score of 10, while the Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB got its highest, 8, score from Expert Reviews.

Lastly, in order to better compare them to their competition, we averaged out their review scores and found that the Samsung SSD 860 EVO 2.5" 250GB got received considerably better than the majority of other Internal SSDs - it earned an average of 8.8 out of 10 points, compared to the 7.8 overall rating of other Internal SSDs - while the Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB performed worse than most of its competitors, with its average review score of 6.5.

It's worth keeping in mind, however, that a direct Samsung SSD 860 EVO 2.5" 250GB vs. Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB comparison might not be realistic since they're priced differently and some sources have a tendency to review more expensive products better than cheaper ones.
