Samsung 860 QVO Series SSDs vs Adata SX6000 Pro Series SSDs

Analysis:

The Samsung SSD 860 QVO 1TB and Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB make for very strong choices and are great Internal SSDs for their respective $124 and $119 asking prices. Depending on how much you're willing to spend, either of these options will serve you well.

The Samsung SSD 860 QVO 1TB was loved by reviewers at PCmag, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The Best Internal SSDs for 2020" roundup where it was named its "Best for Budget Upgraders", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

As for the Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB - it was really well-received by reviewers at PCmag, a great source that's known for conducting high-quality in-depth testing. It performed great in its "The Best PCI Express NVMe Solid State Drives (SSDs) for 2020" roundup and was named its "Best for M.2 Value Seekers", which, on its own, makes it a product that warrants a closer look.

To get a better idea of how they fare when compared directly to each other, we analyzed review scores of sources that tested both. PCmag and Tom's Hardware, for example, preferred the Samsung SSD 860 QVO 1TB, while PCGamesN rated both of them the same.

We also took a look at which sources had the best things to say about them. We learned that the Samsung SSD 860 QVO 1TB got reviewed the highest by PCWorld - it gave it a rating of 8, while the Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB most impressed reviewers at Expert Reviews, which gave it a score of 8.

Lastly, we compared their average review performance to that of the rest of their competition and found that neither option got received particularly well. With an average rating of 7.5 out of 10, the Samsung SSD 860 QVO 1TB performed similarly to most other Internal SSDs on the market - the overall average review score for this product category being 7.8 - while the Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB did worse than most, with its average of 6.5 points.

There's one caveat here - a direct Samsung SSD 860 QVO 1TB vs. Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB comparison might not be entirely justifiable due to the difference in their pricing and the fact that some sources tend to give lower ratings to cheaper products because they don't take value for money into account.
