Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 (2020) vs Amazon Fire HD (2018)
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ (2020) has done great in quite a few roundups from some of the most highly trusted sources available, such as Tom's Guide, CNET, and Digital Camera World, which perform high-quality in-depth testing. It got awarded the "The best Android tablet when price is no concern" title by Tom's Guide, "Best premium Android tablet" by CNET, and "Ranked 2 out of 8" by Digital Camera World in their respective roundups. Earning that much praise from such respected sources is undoubtedly an impressive accomplishment.
Moving on to the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2018): it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like Expert Reviews, CNET, PCmag, What Hi-Fi?, Techradar, and Good e-Reader, enough for them to include them on those lists.
To get a better idea of how they fare when compared directly to each other, we analyzed review scores of sources that tested both. Techradar and Digitaltrends, for example, preferred the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ (2020), while Expert Reviews, What Hi-Fi?, and PCmag rated both of them the same.
We also took a look at which sources had the best things to say about them. We learned that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ (2020) got reviewed the highest by T3 - it gave it a rating of 10, while the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2018) most impressed reviewers at Expert Reviews, which gave it a score of 10.
Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Tablets on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Tablets being 7.5 out of 10, whereas the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ (2020) and Amazon Fire HD 8 (2018) managed averages of 8.3 and 7.6 points, respectively.
Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ (2020) vs. Amazon Fire HD 8 (2018) comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
