Asus RT-AX88U vs ASUS Lyra Voice

The Asus RT-AX88U makes for an outstanding Wi-Fi Router at $339. The ASUS Lyra Voice, however, while overall a good product for its asking price, doesn't quite manage to stand out from its competition - there are better Wi-Fi Routers that can be found for around $95 available here.

The Asus RT-AX88U has done great in quite a few roundups from some of the most highly trusted sources available, such as Wirecutter (NYTimes), Laptop Mag, and PCmag, which perform high-quality in-depth testing. It got awarded the "Upgrade pick" title by Wirecutter (NYTimes), "Best future-proof Wi-Fi 6 router" by Laptop Mag, and "Ranked 2 out of 10" by PCmag in their respective roundups. Earning that much praise from such respected sources is undoubtedly an impressive accomplishment.

As for the ASUS Lyra Voice analysis - it impressed reviewers at Techradar, a source that's known for its objective testing and well-thought-out methodology - it performed great in its "Best Asus router 2020: the top Asus routers for any budget" roundup and earned the "Best Asus router for the smart home" title.

We couldn't find any sources that tested both of these Wi-Fi Routers, so we only analyzed how they performed in reviews from different sites.

We first examined which sources rated each of these best and found that the Asus RT-AX88U got its highest, 10, rating from Expert Reviews, while the ASUS Lyra Voice earned its best, 8, score from Techradar.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Wi-Fi Routers on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Wi-Fi Routers being 7.4 out of 10, whereas the Asus RT-AX88U and ASUS Lyra Voice managed averages of 8.9 and 8.0 points, respectively.
