ASUS RT-AC68U vs TP-Link Archer A6
MakeUseOf, a review site with a history of doing objective hands-on testing, has great things to say about the ASUS RT-AC68U. In fact, it's "Ranked 2 out of 5" in its "What's the Best Dual-Band Router for Your Small Home?" roundup, which points toward it being a good Wi-Fi Router.
As for the TP-Link Archer A6 - PCmag, a source that conducts reliable hands-on testing, has featured it in its The Best Budget Wi-Fi Routers for 2023 roundup. However, it didn't make it to any of the top spots.
When we thoroughly analyzed their review scores, we learned that all of the sources that tested both Wi-Fi Routers, including PCmag, preferred the ASUS RT-AC68U over the TP-Link Archer A6.
We also took a look at which sources they managed to impress the most. The ASUS RT-AC68U was liked best by Expert Reviews, which gave it a score of 10, while the TP-Link Archer A6 got its highest, 8.4, score from Lifewire.
Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Wi-Fi Routers on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Wi-Fi Routers being 7.4 out of 10, whereas the ASUS RT-AC68U and TP-Link Archer A6 managed averages of 8.8 and 7.7 points, respectively.
Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct ASUS RT-AC68U vs. TP-Link Archer A6 comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
