JLab Go Air vs Aukey EP-N5

Analysis:

The JLab Go Air makes for a good, if unremarkable, Earphone for people with a $30 budget.

The Aukey EP-N5, however, is merely mediocre at its $59 asking price, when compared to similarly priced products, and won't satisfy the needs of most people.

In either case, we suggest that you first take a look at some other options at the $30 and $50 price points before committing to one of these - it's likely that you'll be able to find some better alternatives.

If you're still interested in learning more about the JLab Go Air and Aukey EP-N5, however, we wrote a summary of what we could find about them:

The JLab Go Air got praised by PCmag and SoundGuys - two highly trusted sources that perform in-depth hands-on testing. It was awarded the "Best for Lowest True Wireless Price" title from PCmag and "Best workout" from SoundGuys in their respective Earphone roundups.

As for the Aukey EP-N5 analysis - it impressed reviewers at Android Central, a source that's known for its objective testing and well-thought-out methodology - it performed great in its "Best Wireless Earbuds 2021" roundup and earned the "Best Cheap AirPods Alternative" title.

We couldn't find any sources that tested both of these Earphones, so we only analyzed how they performed in reviews from different sites.

We first examined which sources rated each of these best and found that the JLab Go Air got its highest, 8, rating from WIRED, while the Aukey EP-N5 earned its best, 8, score from Macworld.

Lastly, in order to better compare them to the rest of their competition, we averaged out their review scores. The Aukey EP-N5 managed to get 8.0 out of 10 - considerably better than the 7.3 review average of Earphones in general - whereas the JLab Go Air earned 7.0 points.

It should be said that doing a direct JLab Go Air vs. Aukey EP-N5 comparison might not be entirely fair due to the difference in their prices - some sources don't put much weight on value for money and thus tend to give better review scores to more expensive products.
