The Bamix Immersion Blender Pro-1 (2012) was loved by reviewers at Your Best Digs, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The Best Immersion Blenders" roundup where it was named its "Top Pick", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Moving on to the Philips ProMix Hand Blender HR1670/92 (2017): no sources that perform reliable and objective hands-on testing have included it in their Immersion Blender roundups, which usually means that a product doesn't make for a good purchase.

The Bamix Immersion Blender Professional is a series of blenders released in 2012 that consists of the Bamix Immersion Blender Pro-1, Pro-2, and Pro-3. There are only minimal differences between the models - the Pro-2 and Pro-3 are the same except for the length of the devices and their shafts. The Pro-3 is the tallest model and is designed for blending in deep pots and jars, but can be too clumsy for most tasks. The Pro-2 and Pro-3 versions have 200-watt motors. The Pro-1, on the other hand, has a less powerful, 150-watt motor and comes with a 600ml multi-beaker.

All three immersion blenders come with a generous 10-year warranty, which speaks volumes about their build quality. They're ergonomic, easy to use, and have 2 different speed settings. Most importantly, they produce good blending and pureeing results. However, users report that they're relatively difficult to clean.

The Product:

The Philips ProMix Hand Blender HR1670/92 is one of the best blenders on the market. Its powerful motor helps it produce very smooth purees, no matter the ingredients. Operating the HR1670/92 is comfortable even for extended periods of time and, thanks to its intuitive controls, fairly simple.

Its main downside, however, is its price. Because it doesn’t come with any attachments, the final price can be a bit steep; even for a high-quality blender.
