Beyerdynamic Aventho Wireless vs Shure SRH145 (2015)
Beyerdynamic Aventho Wireless
The Beyerdynamic Aventho Wireless is a great Closed-Back Headphone for its $279 asking price.
The Shure SRH145m+ (2015), however, while a reasonable product for $51, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well. If you're considering Closed-Back Headphones in the $60 range, you might want to check out some better options.
The Beyerdynamic Aventho Wireless was loved by reviewers at SoundGuys, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best on-ear headphones" roundup where it was named its "Best All-Around", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.
Taking a look at the Shure SRH145m+ (2015), it got featured in roundups from two reliable sources that conduct their own testing - CNET and PCmag - but it fell short of earning a top spot in either.
We conducted an analysis of all of the review data that we could find on these two products. First, we focused on sources that tested and rated both of them, like PCmag, and learned that they all showed a preference for the Shure SRH145m+ (2015).
Then we took a look at the highest review scores that these two Closed-Back Headphones received. We found that the Beyerdynamic Aventho Wireless managed to earn a rating of 9 from HomeTheaterReview.com, whereas the Shure SRH145m+ (2015) got its highest, 8, score from reviewers at CNET.
Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Closed-Back Headphones on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Closed-Back Headphones being 7.4 out of 10, whereas the Beyerdynamic Aventho Wireless and Shure SRH145m+ (2015) managed averages of 8.2 and 8.0 points, respectively.
Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Beyerdynamic Aventho Wireless vs. Shure SRH145m+ (2015) comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
