It performed great in their in-depth hands-on roundups - it was awarded the "Ranked 1 out of 8" title by Consumer Reports and "Ranked 1 out of 2" by Wirecutter in their respective Countertop Blender roundups. That's high praise, especially when coming from such high-quality sources.

Moving on to the KitchenAid Classic Series Blender (KSB1570): no sources that perform reliable and objective hands-on testing have included it in their Countertop Blender roundups, which usually means that a product doesn't make for a good purchase.

The 650 is virtually the same as the 625 but has six different presets and eight speeds.

The 675 has the same four presets as the 625 but comes with a cleaning function and the ability to prolong any blending process by 10 seconds.

The 725 is the most advanced blender in the series - it's the most powerful and has the most features. It ups the power of the other models from 3 to 3.8 horsepower. It has a digital screen that can display text and features SmartBlend technology - a system that tells users about any blending issues that arise during the blending process and offers suggestions on how to get better results. This blender has six pre-programmed settings and a whopping 100 speeds.

The core performance of all of the models in the series is very similar. All of these blenders are highly regarded among consumers and professional reviewers alike. They're compact, easy to clean, and remarkable at crushing ice. However, they're not a good choice for making smoothies from frozen fruit.

The 2012 KitchenAid Classic Series Blender KSB1570 is a great option for anyone who's in the market for a countertop blender. It's easy to use and clean and has a relatively small footprint. Despite being user-friendly, the KSB1570 is a versatile blender - it has five different speeds and can be used for a variety of tasks, like liquefying, stirring, chopping, mixing, and pureeing food. It's sturdy and has a useful feature called Soft Start, which lets the blender minimize splashing by slowly pulling food towards its blades before increasing their speed. What's more, the blender has separate ice-crushing and pulse modes and can even sense the contents of its jar to maintain an optimal blade speed.

However, it isn't without its downsides. It produces results that tend to be on the thicker side and a handful of users report build quality issues, like a leaking jug and a chance of burning out its motor.
