As for the KitchenAid 5-Speed Diamond Blender - it impressed reviewers at Serious Eats, a trustworthy source that conducts solid hands-on testing. It did great in its "We Tested 9 Mid-Priced Blenders To Find One That Blends With Ease" roundup - in fact, it earned its "Ranked 2 out of 2" title, which, on its own, indicates a certain level of quality.

One drawback of these blenders is their relatively high asking price.

KitchenAid's 5-Speed Diamond Blender is a good choice for people looking for a budget countertop blender. It's a decent device that's priced similarly as a personal blender but offers the higher performance and versatility of a countertop blender. The Diamond Blender produces consistent results and can handle most foods, including hard nuts and ice. It has five speed settings that enable users to stir, chop, mix, puree, or liquefy whatever is thrown in its container. The blender also doesn't have any problems with leaks and is easy to clean.

This blender has some drawbacks, the most notable of which is the durability issue of the blade spinning mechanism. Users report that the plastic wears out over time, making the blender inoperable.
