The Oster Versa Performance Blender (BLSTVB-RV0-000) was loved by reviewers at Wirecutter, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The Best Blender" roundup where it was named its "Runner Up for Runner-up: Oster Versa Pro Series Blender", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Returning to the Blendtec Professional 800 (2016), bicycling.com, a source that's known for its high-quality in-depth testing, has great things to say about it. In fact, it was named its "Ranked 1 out of 7" in its "The 7 Best and Most Powerful Blenders of 2018" roundup, which is quite a feat.

Lastly, we tried to do a direct Oster Versa Performance Blender (BLSTVB-RV0-000) vs. Blendtec Professional 800 (2016) comparison of review ratings between these two products, but couldn't find any review scores for the Blendtec Professional 800 (2016).

Compared to all other Countertop Blenders on the market, however, the Oster Versa Performance Blender (BLSTVB-RV0-000) performed great. When averaged out, it earned a rating of 8.3 out of 10, which is much better than the 7.3 review average of Countertop Blenders in general.

The Product:

Oster's 2013 Versa Performance blenders are fantastic countertop blenders. This lineup comprises of two models - the BLSTVB-104-000 and the BLSTVB-RV0-000. The two models differ in their design, included accessories, and motor power - the BLSTVB-104-000 has 1100 watts and the BLSTVB-RV0-000 has 1400 watts of power. However, the more powerful blender doesn't have dual-direction blades that increase performance by alternating backward and forward helping the blender draw food towards the blades.

These two blenders also have a lot in common. Both of them are sturdy, powerful, have pre-programmed settings, a pulse button, and the same jug capacity. Their main downsides are that they take up a lot of space and tend to have difficulties with crushing ice.

The Product:

The Blendtec Professional 800, released in 2016, is a decent countertop blender. It differs from the 2014 Blendtec Professional 795 in its power and warranty - the 800's 3.8 hp motor is both more powerful and louder than the 795's 3 hp motor and the newer version comes with an exceptional 10-year warranty, while the 2014 model comes with a, still generous, 8-year warranty.

Even though it's louder than its previous version, the Blendtec Professional 800 is still relatively quiet. It comes with many pre-programmed settings that make it well suited for a variety of tasks, from making smoothies to hot soups.

One drawback of these blenders is their relatively high asking price.
