The Bose SoundSport Free (2017) has impressed reviewers from two sources that are among the most highly trusted on the internet, namely SoundGuys and Rtings. It did great in their objective hands-on roundups - it earned the "Best sound" and "Runner Up for Best Headphones For Vocals And Instruments - Truly Wireless Alternative" awards from SoundGuys and Rtings, respectively. That's high praise from such reputable sources.

Returning to the EarFun Air, it managed to impress reviewers from two sources that are considered to be some of the most highly trusted on the internet, thanks to their in-depth hands-on testing - PCmag and CNET. It performed great in their respective Earphone roundups - it was named "Best for Waterproof Build" by PCmag and "Ranked 3 out of 10" by CNET. That's quite an endorsement, especially coming from such high-quality sources.

We examined all of the review data that we could find and first took a look at sources that reviewed both of them, like What Hi-Fi? and PCmag, and found that they haven't shown a preference for either product.
