Panasonic Lumix G___ series Cameras (2020) vs Canon EOS Mx00 Cameras (2019)
The Panasonic Lumix DC-G100 (2020) is widely considered to be a great Mirrorless Camera at its $550 budget. The Canon EOS M200 (2019), however, while also a good product at this price point, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well.
The Panasonic Lumix DC-G100 (2020) got praised by Rtings and Digital Camera World - two highly trusted sources that perform in-depth hands-on testing. It was awarded the "Best Panasonic Vlogging Camera" title from Rtings and "Ranked 1 out of 12" from Digital Camera World in their respective Mirrorless Camera roundups.
Returning to the Canon EOS M200 (2019), Digital Photography Review, a source that's known for its high-quality in-depth testing, has great things to say about it. In fact, it was named its "Ranked 1 out of 5" in its "Best mirrorless cameras of 2021" roundup, which is quite a feat.
For a direct Panasonic Lumix DC-G100 (2020) vs. Canon EOS M200 (2019) comparison, we took a look at sources that tested both and found that the Panasonic Lumix DC-G100 (2020) got reviewed better by Rtings and Digital Camera World, whereas the reviewers at Digital Photography Review preferred the Canon EOS M200 (2019). Reviewers at ePHOTOzine and Photography Blog haven't shown a preference for either.
