The Corsair K55 (2016) is a great Wired Keyboard for its $49 asking price.
The Kinesis Freestyle 2 (2012), however, while a reasonable product for $89, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well. If you're considering Wired Keyboards in the $65 range, you might want to check out some better options.
The Corsair K55 (2016) was loved by reviewers at TechGearLab, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best Gaming Keyboard" roundup where it was named its "A Budget Full-Size Keyboard", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.
Returning to the Kinesis Freestyle 2 (2012), it managed to impress reviewers from two sources that are considered to be some of the most highly trusted on the internet, thanks to their in-depth hands-on testing - TechGearLab and Tom's Guide. It performed great in their respective Wired Keyboard roundups - it was named "Best for Customization and Accessories" by TechGearLab and "Ranked 3 out of 4" by Tom's Guide. That's quite an endorsement, especially coming from such high-quality sources.
Lastly, we tried to do a direct Corsair K55 (2016) vs. Kinesis Freestyle 2 (2012) comparison of review ratings between these two products, but couldn't find any review scores for the Kinesis Freestyle 2 (2012).
Compared to all other Wired Keyboards on the market, however, the Corsair K55 (2016) performed great. When averaged out, it earned a rating of 8.8 out of 10, which is much better than the 7.4 review average of Wired Keyboards in general.
