Corsair RM850x vs Corsair RM750

The Corsair RM850x is one of the very best PSUs that one can get for around $110. The Corsair RM750, however, while a very good choice at its $220 price point, falls just short of being remarkable.

The Corsair RM850x was loved by reviewers at MakeUseOf, a trustworthy source that performs objective hands-on testing. It did great in their "The Best Power Supply Units for Gaming PCs" roundup - in fact, they named it their "Ranked 2 out of 6". That, by itself, points toward it being a noteworthy PSU.

Taking a look at the Corsair RM750, we found that it hasn't managed to perform well enough to earn a spot in any PSU roundups done by sources that conduct their own, high-quality, hands-on testing. That alone makes it difficult to recommend.
