Crucial MX300 Series SSDs vs Adata SU750 Series SSDs

Analysis:

The Crucial SSD MX300 2.5" 275GB and Adata SU750 256GB make for very strong choices and are great Internal SSDs for their respective $143 and $37 asking prices. Depending on how much you're willing to spend, either of these options will serve you well.

The Crucial SSD MX300 2.5" 275GB managed to impress reviewers from two reliable and unbiased sources that conduct their own hands-on testing, namely Laptop Mag and CNET. It performed great in their roundups - it earned the "Best SSD Under $100" title from Laptop Mag and "Ranked 2 out of 9" from CNET, which makes it a product worthy of consideration.

Returning to the Adata SU750 256GB, PCmag, a source that's known for its high-quality in-depth testing, has great things to say about it. In fact, it was named its "Best for SATA Value-to-Performance Seekers" in its "The Best Cheap SSDs for 2020" roundup, which is quite a feat.

We examined all of the review data that we could find and first took a look at sources that reviewed both of them, like PCmag, and found that they haven't shown a preference for either product.

Then we checked which sources liked these two Internal SSDs best and found that the Crucial SSD MX300 2.5" 275GB got its highest, 8, review score from reviewers at CNET, whereas the Adata SU750 256GB earned its best score of 8 from PCmag.

Lastly, we averaged out all of their review ratings and observed that the Crucial SSD MX300 2.5" 275GB, with its 8.0 average, performed considerably better than most Internal SSDs - the mean score for the product category being 7.8 out of 10 - while the Adata SU750 256GB managed an average of 7.0.

There's one caveat here - it might not be entirely justifiable to do a direct Crucial SSD MX300 2.5" 275GB vs. Adata SU750 256GB review average comparison since they aren't priced the same and more expensive products tend to get higher review scores from some sources.
