Acer Predator X34 series monitors 2015 vs Dell PH series monitors (2018)
The Acer Predator X34 is one of the very best Monitors that one can get for around $670. The Dell P2719H, however, while a very good choice at its $270 price point, falls just short of being remarkable.
Two highly trusted sources that perform well-thought-out in-depth testing consider the Acer Predator X34 to be a great product - it earned the "Best curved gaming monitor" title from Laptop Mag and "Ranked 3 out of 6" from Tom's Guide in their respective Monitor roundups, which is a good indication of it being a notable product.
As for the Dell P2719H, it was really well-received by reviewers at Laptop Mag, a reliable source that's known for conducting its own, high-quality, in-depth testing. It performed great in its "Best cheap monitors in 2023" roundup and was named its "Best cheap monitor with a small footprint", which, on its own, makes it a product that warrants a closer look.
When we thoroughly analyzed their review scores, we learned that all of the sources that tested both Monitors, including PCmag, preferred the Acer Predator X34 over the Dell P2719H.
We also took a look at which sources they managed to impress the most. The Acer Predator X34 was liked best by MonitorNerds, which gave it a score of 9.6, while the Dell P2719H got its highest, 9.2, score from techaeris.com.
Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Monitors on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Monitors being 7.3 out of 10, whereas the Acer Predator X34 and Dell P2719H managed averages of 8.6 and 7.7 points, respectively.
Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Acer Predator X34 vs. Dell P2719H comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
