Dell PH series monitors (2018) vs HP Omen 27i
The Dell P2719H is a great Monitor for its $289 asking price.
The HP Omen 27i 27", however, while a reasonable product for $399, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well. If you're considering Monitors in the $290 range, you might want to check out some better options.
The Dell P2719H was loved by reviewers at Laptop Mag, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best cheap monitors in 2023" roundup where it was named its "Best cheap monitor with a small footprint", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.
As for our HP Omen 27i 27" analysis - two highly trusted sources that perform well-thought-out hands-on testing have found it to be a great product - it earned the "The best 165 Hz gaming monitor" and "Suitable for work and play with a great design" awards from Tom's Guide and CNET, respectively, which is quite an impressive feat.
We conducted an analysis of all of the review data that we could find on these two products. First, we focused on sources that tested and rated both of them, like techaeris.com, and learned that they all showed a preference for the HP Omen 27i 27".
Then we took a look at the highest review scores that these two Monitors received. We found that the Dell P2719H managed to earn a rating of 9.2 from techaeris.com, whereas the HP Omen 27i 27" got its highest, 9.3, score from reviewers at techaeris.com.
Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Monitors on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Monitors being 7.3 out of 10, whereas the Dell P2719H and HP Omen 27i 27" managed averages of 7.7 and 8.2 points, respectively.
Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Dell P2719H vs. HP Omen 27i 27" comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
