Sony WH-CH400 vs Denon AH-MM400 (2016)
The reviewers at Rtings have featured the Sony WH-CH400 in their Sony WH-CH400 Wireless Headphones Review roundup. However, it fell short of making it to the top of their list.
Moving on to the Denon AH-MM400 (2016): it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like Head-fi, Techradar, TrustedReviews, TechSpot, and techadvisor.com, enough for them to include them on those lists.
We couldn't find any sources that tested both of these On-Ear Headphones, so we only analyzed how they performed in reviews from different sites.
We first examined which sources rated each of these best and found that the Sony WH-CH400 got its highest, 6.1, rating from Rtings, while the Denon AH-MM400 (2016) earned its best, 9.7, score from Head-fi.
Finally, we calculated their average review scores from all of the data we could find and compared those to On-Ear Headphones in general. It turns out that the Denon AH-MM400 (2016), with its 8.8 average, got reviewed considerably better than most of its competition - the overall average for On-Ear Headphones being 7.4 out of 10 points - whereas the Sony WH-CH400 performed worse than most, with an average review score of 6.1.
However, it's worth pointing out that a direct Sony WH-CH400 vs. Denon AH-MM400 (2016) comparison might not be entirely fair, because some sources have a tendency of not taking value for money into account when reviewing products.
