Corsair K95 (2020) vs Drop CTRL (2018)

The Corsair K95 RGB Platinum XT (2020) makes for an outstanding Wired Keyboard at its $190 price point. The Drop CTRL (2018), however, while a good product overall, doesn't really manage to stand out from its competition.

The Corsair K95 RGB Platinum XT (2020) has managed to impress reviewers from some of the most highly trusted sources on the internet, including PCmag and Tom's Hardware. It performed great in their in-depth hands-on roundups - it was awarded the "Best for Seekers of a Deluxe RGB Mechanical" title by PCmag and "Best Gaming Keyboard Splurge" by Tom's Hardware in their respective Wired Keyboard roundups. That's high praise, especially when coming from such high-quality sources.

As for our Drop CTRL (2018) analysis - two highly trusted sources that perform well-thought-out hands-on testing have found it to be a great product - it earned the "Best customization in a snap" and "Other great mechanical keyboards" awards from Laptop Mag and Wirecutter (NYTimes), respectively, which is quite an impressive feat.
