Razer BlackWidow Elite (2018) vs Drop CTRL (2018)

The Razer BlackWidow Elite (2018) is a great Wired Keyboard for its $99 asking price.

The Drop CTRL (2018), however, while a reasonable product for $220, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well. If you're considering Wired Keyboards in the $200 range, you might want to check out some better options.

The Razer BlackWidow Elite (2018) has impressed reviewers from two sources that are among the most highly trusted on the internet, namely Rtings and Laptop Mag. It did great in their objective hands-on roundups - it earned the "Best Mechanical Keyboard For Writers" and "Best for hardcore gamers" awards from Rtings and Laptop Mag, respectively. That's high praise from such reputable sources.

Taking a look at the Drop CTRL (2018), we found that it got praised by Laptop Mag and Wirecutter (NYTimes) - two sources that are known for their high-quality in-depth testing. The Drop CTRL (2018) was named "Best customization in a snap" by Laptop Mag and "Other great mechanical keyboards" by Wirecutter (NYTimes) in their respective Wired Keyboard roundups; that suggests that it's a product that's worth considering.

When we thoroughly analyzed their review scores, we learned that all of the sources that tested both Wired Keyboards, including Tom's Guide, preferred the Razer BlackWidow Elite (2018) over the Drop CTRL (2018).
