Logitech G560 (2018) vs Edifier R2000DB

Analysis:

The Logitech G560 LIGHTSYNC (2018) is a great Computer Speaker for its $199 asking price.

The Edifier R2000DB, however, while a reasonable product for $249, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well. If you're considering Computer Speakers in the $260 range, you might want to check out some better options.

The Logitech G560 LIGHTSYNC (2018) has managed to impress reviewers from some of the most highly trusted sources on the internet, including Tom's Guide and SoundGuys. It performed great in their in-depth hands-on roundups - it was awarded the "The best computer speakers for gaming" title by Tom's Guide and "Best for gamers" by SoundGuys in their respective Computer Speaker roundups. That's high praise, especially when coming from such high-quality sources.

Taking a look at the Edifier R2000DB, it got featured in roundups from two reliable sources that conduct their own testing - Head-fi and Wirecutter (NYTimes) - but it fell short of earning a top spot in either.

We couldn't find any sources that tested both of these Computer Speakers, so we only analyzed how they performed in reviews from different sites.

We first examined which sources rated each of these best and found that the Logitech G560 LIGHTSYNC (2018) got its highest, 8.6, rating from PC Gamer, while the Edifier R2000DB earned its best, 9, score from Head-fi.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Computer Speakers on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Computer Speakers being 7.7 out of 10, whereas the Logitech G560 LIGHTSYNC (2018) and Edifier R2000DB managed averages of 8.0 and 9.0 points, respectively.

Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Logitech G560 LIGHTSYNC (2018) vs. Edifier R2000DB comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
