Brother MFC-J995 (2018) vs Epson WF-3720

The Brother MFC-J995DW is a great Home Printer for its $305 asking price.

The Epson WF-3720, however, while a reasonable product for $235, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well. If you're considering Home Printers in the $190 range, you might want to check out some better options.

The Brother MFC-J995DW has impressed reviewers from two sources that are among the most highly trusted on the internet, namely Rtings and Tom's Guide. It did great in their objective hands-on roundups - it earned the "Best All-In-One Family Printer" and "The best all-in-one printer overall" awards from Rtings and Tom's Guide, respectively. That's high praise from such reputable sources.

Taking a look at the Epson WF-3720, we found that it hasn't managed to perform well enough to earn a spot in any Home Printer roundups done by sources that conduct their own, high-quality, hands-on testing. That alone makes it difficult to recommend.

Lastly, we tried to do a direct Brother MFC-J995DW vs. Epson WF-3720 comparison of review ratings between these two products, but couldn't find any review scores for the Epson WF-3720.

Compared to all other Home Printers on the market, however, the Brother MFC-J995DW performed great. When averaged out, it earned a rating of 8.5 out of 10, which is much better than the 7.1 review average of Home Printers in general.
