HP OfficeJet Pro 9000 Series (2019) vs Epson WF-3720

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 is widely considered to be a great Home Printer at its $200 budget. The Epson WF-3720, however, while also a good product at this price point, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 has done great in a couple of roundups conducted by highly trusted sources that perform objective in-depth testing, like Wirecutter (NYTimes), PCmag, and Rtings - it earned the "Top Pick" title from Wirecutter (NYTimes), "Best for Medium-Volume Small Offices" from PCmag, and "Best HP Printer For Family Use" from Rtings. Any product that's held in high regard by such reliable sources should be considered by anyone that's looking for a Home Printer at this price point.

Taking a look at the Epson WF-3720, we found that it hasn't managed to perform well enough to earn a spot in any Home Printer roundups done by sources that conduct their own, high-quality, hands-on testing. That alone makes it difficult to recommend.

Lastly, we tried to do a direct HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 vs. Epson WF-3720 comparison of review ratings between these two products, but couldn't find any review scores for the Epson WF-3720.

Compared to all other Home Printers on the market, however, the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 performed great. When averaged out, it earned a rating of 8.8 out of 10, which is much better than the 7.1 review average of Home Printers in general.
