The Epson WorkForce DS-870 was loved by reviewers at PCmag, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The Best Scanners for Macs" roundup where it was named its "Ranked 2 out of 8", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.
As for the Epson WorkForce ES-500W (2017) - PCmag, a source that conducts reliable hands-on testing, has featured it in its Epson WorkForce ES-500W Wireless Duplex Document Scanner Review roundup. However, it didn't make it to any of the top spots.
