Etymotic ER4 (2015) vs QCY T5S
The Etymotic ER4SR (2015) was loved by reviewers at SoundGuys, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best wired earbuds" roundup where it was named its "Ranked 2 out of 5", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.
As for the QCY T5S - Tom's Guide, a source that conducts reliable hands-on testing, has featured it in its QCY T5S review: Shockingly good wireless earbuds for $25 roundup. However, it didn't make it to any of the top spots.
We couldn't find any sources that tested both of these In-Ear Monitors, so we only analyzed how they performed in reviews from different sites.
We first examined which sources rated each of these best and found that the Etymotic ER4SR (2015) got its highest, 10, rating from Head-fi, while the QCY T5S earned its best, 8, score from Tom's Guide.
Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other In-Ear Monitors on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by In-Ear Monitors being 7.7 out of 10, whereas the Etymotic ER4SR (2015) and QCY T5S managed averages of 8.6 and 8.0 points, respectively.
Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Etymotic ER4SR (2015) vs. QCY T5S comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
