The Apple Watch SE (GPS + Cellular) 44mm is an exemplary product and one of the very best Smartwatches at the $260 budget.
The Fitbit Inspire HR, however, doesn't seem to have enough data available for us to be able to draw any meaningful conclusions. If you're considering Smartwatches in the $110 range, you might want to check out some other options.
The Apple Watch SE (GPS + Cellular) 44mm impressed reviewers from numerous sources that do high-quality in-depth testing, such as CNET, Wirecutter, TechGearLab, Consumer Reports, and Tom's Guide. It performed amazingly well in their roundups - it was dubbed "Best value Apple smartwatch" by CNET, "Best performing, most expensive" by Wirecutter, and "Ranked 1 out of 9" by TechGearLab. That, by itself, suggests that it's an excellent product.
Moving on to the Fitbit Inspire HR: it has done really well in a number of roundups done by sources that perform objective and reliable testing, including Good Housekeeping, Expert Reviews, reviewgeek.com, and MakeUseOf - it won the "BEST NO-FRILLS FITBIT" title from Good Housekeeping, "Ranked 1 out of 5" from Expert Reviews, and "Ranked 1 out of 5" from reviewgeek.com. That points towards it being a cut above most of its competitors.
Out of the sources that tested and rated both of these Smartwatches, Lifewire, Digitaltrends, TrustedReviews, and Techradar preferred the Apple Watch SE (GPS + Cellular) 44mm, whereas reviewers at Macworld and techadvisor.com liked the Fitbit Inspire HR better. TechGearLab, Expert Reviews, and PCmag gave them identical review scores.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Smartwatches on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Smartwatches being 7.2 out of 10, whereas the Apple Watch SE (GPS + Cellular) 44mm and Fitbit Inspire HR managed averages of 8.6 and 8.0 points, respectively.
Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Apple Watch SE (GPS + Cellular) 44mm vs. Fitbit Inspire HR comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
