Nikon Z x0 Cameras (2019) vs Fujifilm X-A Cameras (2019)

The Nikon Z 50 (2019) managed to impress reviewers from many of the internet's most highly trusted sources, including Tom's Guide, CNET, Rtings, Digital Camera World, and PCmag. It performed really well in their Mirrorless Camera roundups - it was named "A versatile mirrorless camera at a good price" by Tom's Guide, "Best entry-level mirrorless camera" by CNET, and "Best Entry-Level Nikon Camera" by Rtings. That's high praise coming from sources that conduct in-depth hands-on testing.

Moving on to the Fujifilm X-A7 (2019): it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like shotkit.com, Techradar, Digital Photography Review, ePHOTOzine, camerajabber.com, PCmag, Tom's Guide, Photography Blog, and Digital Camera World, enough for them to include them on those lists.

To get a better idea of how they fare when compared directly to each other, we analyzed review scores of sources that tested both. Digital Camera World, camerajabber.com, Photography Blog, ePHOTOzine, Digital Photography Review, and Tom's Guide, for example, preferred the Nikon Z 50 (2019), while Techradar and PCmag rated both of them the same.

We also took a look at which sources had the best things to say about them. We learned that the Nikon Z 50 (2019) got reviewed the highest by Digital Camera World - it gave it a rating of 10, while the Fujifilm X-A7 (2019) most impressed reviewers at shotkit.com, which gave it a score of 9.

Lastly, we averaged out all of their review ratings and observed that the Nikon Z 50 (2019), with its 8.7 average, performed considerably better than most Mirrorless Cameras - the mean score for the product category being 7.9 out of 10 - while the Fujifilm X-A7 (2019) managed an average of 7.8.
