Nikon Z x0 Cameras (2019) vs Fujifilm X-Tx Cameras (2016)

Analysis:

The Nikon Z 50 (2019) is a great Mirrorless Camera for its $856 asking price.

The Fujifilm X-T2 (2016), however, while a reasonable product for $1030, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well. If you're considering Mirrorless Cameras in the $1,400 range, you might want to check out some better options.

The Nikon Z 50 (2019) was loved by reviewers at Tom's Guide, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best mirrorless cameras in 2020" roundup where it was named its "A versatile mirrorless camera at a good price", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Moving on to the Fujifilm X-T2 (2016): it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like Techradar, Photography Blog, The Phoblographer, Expert Reviews, camerajabber.com, PCmag, and TrustedReviews, enough for them to include them on those lists.

We conducted an analysis of all of the review data that we could find on these two products. First, we focused on sources that tested and rated both of them, like Techradar, PCmag, and Digitaltrends, and learned that they all showed a preference for the Fujifilm X-T2 (2016).

Then we took a look at the highest review scores that these two Mirrorless Cameras received. We found that the Nikon Z 50 (2019) managed to earn a rating of 10 from Digital Camera World, whereas the Fujifilm X-T2 (2016) got its highest, 10, score from reviewers at Techradar.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Mirrorless Cameras on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Mirrorless Cameras being 7.9 out of 10, whereas the Nikon Z 50 (2019) and Fujifilm X-T2 (2016) managed averages of 8.4 and 9.5 points, respectively.

Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Nikon Z 50 (2019) vs. Fujifilm X-T2 (2016) comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
