Fujifilm X-Tx Cameras (2020) vs Panasonic Lumix FZ__00 series Cameras (2016)

The Fujifilm X-T4 (2020) is an exemplary product and one of the very best Mirrorless Cameras at the $1,500 budget.

The Fujifilm X-T4 (2020) managed to impress reviewers from many of the internet's most highly trusted sources, including Digital Photography Review, Rtings, Digital Camera World, The Phoblographer, and Wirecutter. It performed really well in their Mirrorless Camera roundups - it was named "Best mirrorless camera around $1500" by Digital Photography Review, "Best Mid-Range Camera For Landscape Photography" by Rtings, and "Ranked 1 out of 9" by Digital Camera World. That's high praise coming from sources that conduct in-depth hands-on testing.

Returning to the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2500 (2016), Digital Camera World, a source that's known for its high-quality in-depth testing, has great things to say about it. In fact, it was named its "Ranked 1 out of 14" in its "The best camera for wildlife photography in 2023" roundup, which is quite a feat.

To get a better idea of how they fare when compared directly to each other, we analyzed review scores of sources that tested both. PCmag, Techradar, TrustedReviews, Digitaltrends, and Digital Photography Review, for example, preferred the Fujifilm X-T4 (2020), while Photography Blog rated both of them the same.

We also took a look at which sources had the best things to say about them. We learned that the Fujifilm X-T4 (2020) got reviewed the highest by ePHOTOzine - it gave it a rating of 10, while the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2500 (2016) most impressed reviewers at Photography Blog, which gave it a score of 10.

Lastly, we averaged out all of their review ratings and observed that the Fujifilm X-T4 (2020), with its 9.3 average, performed considerably better than most Mirrorless Cameras - the mean score for the product category being 7.9 out of 10 - while the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2500 (2016) managed an average of 7.9.

There's one caveat here - it might not be entirely justifiable to do a direct Fujifilm X-T4 (2020) vs. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2500 (2016) review average comparison since they aren't priced the same and more expensive products tend to get higher review scores from some sources.
