Sony α7R Mirrorless Cameras (2021) vs Fujifilm X-Tx0 Cameras (2019)
The Sony α7R IVA (2021) was loved by reviewers at Digital Camera World, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The best cameras for landscape photography in 2023: kit for the great outdoors" roundup where it was named its "Ranked 1 out of 9", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.
Taking a look at the Fujifilm X-T30 (2019), we found it was well-received by reviewers from a couple of reliable sources that conduct their own hands-on testing, including shotkit.com, creativebloq.com, and camerajabber.com. It performed great in their Mirrorless Camera roundups - it managed to earn the "GREAT VALUE" title from shotkit.com, "Ranked 2 out of 4" from creativebloq.com, and "Ranked 1 out of 5" from camerajabber.com, which is a notable accomplishment.
Out of the sources that tested and rated both of these Mirrorless Cameras, PCmag and Digital Photography Review preferred the Sony α7R IVA (2021), whereas reviewers at Digital Camera World liked the Fujifilm X-T30 (2019) better. Techradar gave them identical review scores.
We also took a look at which sources liked these products best - the highest Sony α7R IVA (2021) rating came from PCmag, whereas the Fujifilm X-T30 (2019) most impressed reviewers at Digital Camera World; they earned scores of 10 and 10, respectively.
Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Mirrorless Cameras on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Mirrorless Cameras being 7.9 out of 10, whereas the Sony α7R IVA (2021) and Fujifilm X-T30 (2019) managed averages of 9.3 and 8.9 points, respectively.
Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Sony α7R IVA (2021) vs. Fujifilm X-T30 (2019) comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
