Gelid GC-Extreme vs Thermal Grizzly Hydronaut

The Gelid GC-Extreme makes for an outstanding Thermal Paste at its $13 price point. The Thermal Grizzly Hydronaut, however, while a good product overall, doesn't really manage to stand out from its competition.

The Gelid GC-Extreme was loved by reviewers at Tom's Hardware, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best Thermal Paste for CPUs 2023: 90 Pastes Tested and Ranked" roundup where it was named its "Runner Up for Runner-Up: Best Budget Thermal Paste", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Taking a look at the Thermal Grizzly Hydronaut, we found that it hasn't managed to perform well enough to earn a spot in any Thermal Paste roundups done by sources that conduct their own, high-quality, hands-on testing. That alone makes it difficult to recommend.
