Bose SoundLink Flex vs Google Nest Audio

The Google Nest Audio is an exemplary product and one of the very best Smart Speakers at the $90 budget.

The Bose SoundLink Flex, however, doesn't seem to have enough data available for us to be able to draw any meaningful conclusions. If you're considering Smart Speakers in the $190 range, you might want to check out some other options.

The Google Nest Audio managed to impress reviewers from many of the internet's most highly trusted sources, including Tom's Guide, PCmag, Rtings, SoundGuys, Wirecutter, DXOMARK, and CNET. It performed really well in their Smart Speaker roundups - it was named "The best smart speaker for Google Home users" by Tom's Guide, "Best Google Assistant Smart Speaker" by PCmag, and "Ranked 1 out of 2" by Rtings. That's high praise coming from sources that conduct in-depth hands-on testing.

As for the Bose SoundLink Flex - it was received really well by reviewers from a couple of highly trusted sources, such as PCmag, Rtings, and CNET; it performed great in their in-depth hands-on roundups and earned the "Best Affordable Bose Speaker" title from PCmag, "Best Budget Bose Speaker" from Rtings, and "Best mini Bluetooth speaker" from CNET, which indicates that this product is worthy of consideration.

Out of the sources that tested and rated both of these Smart Speakers, Rtings preferred the Google Nest Audio, whereas reviewers at What Hi-Fi? and Techradar liked the Bose SoundLink Flex better. TrustedReviews, T3, and PCmag gave them identical review scores.

We also took a look at which sources liked these products best - the highest Google Nest Audio rating came from Expert Reviews, whereas the Bose SoundLink Flex most impressed reviewers at CNET; they earned scores of 10 and 8.6, respectively.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Smart Speakers on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Smart Speakers being 7.4 out of 10, whereas the Google Nest Audio and Bose SoundLink Flex managed averages of 8.0 and 7.9 points, respectively.
