Jaybird X3 (2016) vs Google Pixel Buds

Analysis:

The Jaybird X3 (2016) is an example of a great Earphone at its $60 budget.

In the case of the Google Pixel Buds, however, we weren't able to find enough data to come to any reliable conclusions.

The Jaybird X3 (2016) was loved by reviewers at SoundGuys, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best Headphones For Back To School 2017" roundup where it was named its "Best Sweat Resistance", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Returning to the Google Pixel Buds, Tom's Guide, a source that's known for its high-quality in-depth testing, has great things to say about it. In fact, it was named its "Smart buds with excellent Google integration" in its "Best wireless earbuds for 2020" roundup, which is quite a feat.

Out of the sources that tested and rated both of these Earphones, Pocket-lint, TrustedReviews, Techradar, CNET, PCmag, Digitaltrends, SoundGuys, and Rtings preferred the Jaybird X3 (2016), whereas reviewers at Runnerclick and Headphone Review liked the Google Pixel Buds better. What Hi-Fi? gave them identical review scores.

We also took a look at which sources liked these products best - the highest Jaybird X3 (2016) rating came from Pocket-lint, whereas the Google Pixel Buds most impressed reviewers at Android Central; they earned scores of 9 and 9, respectively.

Lastly, in order to better compare them to their competition, we averaged out their review scores and found that the Jaybird X3 (2016) got received considerably better than the majority of other Earphones - it earned an average of 7.9 out of 10 points, compared to the 7.3 overall rating of other Earphones - while the Google Pixel Buds performed worse than most of its competitors, with its average review score of 6.3.

It's worth keeping in mind, however, that a direct Jaybird X3 (2016) vs. Google Pixel Buds comparison might not be realistic since they're priced differently and some sources have a tendency to review more expensive products better than cheaper ones.
