The TCL R625 55" is a great TV for its $899 asking price.

The TCL R625 55" was loved by reviewers at CNET, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The best TVs under $500 that you can buy right now" roundup where it was named its "Best if you can spend another $50", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.
Moving on to the Hisense H8F 65": it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like Rtings, PCmag, HomeTheaterReview.com, Tom's Guide, and Reviewed, enough for them to include them on those lists.
When we thoroughly analyzed their review scores, we learned that all of the sources that tested both TVs, including PCmag, Tom's Guide, and Rtings, preferred the TCL R625 55" over the Hisense H8F 65".
We also took a look at which sources they managed to impress the most. The TCL R625 55" was liked best by WIRED, which gave it a score of 9, while the Hisense H8F 65" got its highest, 8, score from PCmag.
Lastly, we averaged out all of their review ratings and observed that the TCL R625 55", with its 8.6 average, performed considerably better than most TVs - the mean score for the product category being 7.7 out of 10 - while the Hisense H8F 65" managed an average of 7.6.
There's one caveat here - it might not be entirely justifiable to do a direct TCL R625 55" vs. Hisense H8F 65" review average comparison since they aren't priced the same and more expensive products tend to get higher review scores from some sources.
