Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum (2016) vs HyperX Pulsefire FPS Pro (2018)

Analysis:

The Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum (2016) is a great Gaming Mouse for its $79 asking price.

The HyperX Pulsefire FPS Pro (2018), however, is merely passable at its $34 price point. If you're considering buying a Gaming Mouse in the $35 range, you might want to check out some of its competitors.

The Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum (2016) was loved by reviewers at Laptop Mag, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best Gaming Accessories for Your Laptop" roundup where it was named its "Ranked 1 out of 7", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Taking a look at the HyperX Pulsefire FPS Pro (2018), it got featured in roundups from two reliable sources that conduct their own testing - Windows Central and Tom's Guide - but it fell short of earning a top spot in either.

We couldn't find any sources that tested both of these Gaming Mice, so we only analyzed how they performed in reviews from different sites.

We first examined which sources rated each of these best and found that the Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum (2016) got its highest, 8, rating from PCmag, while the HyperX Pulsefire FPS Pro (2018) earned its best, 9, score from Windows Central.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Gaming Mice on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Gaming Mice being 7.5 out of 10, whereas the Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum (2016) and HyperX Pulsefire FPS Pro (2018) managed averages of 8.0 and 8.7 points, respectively.

Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum (2016) vs. HyperX Pulsefire FPS Pro (2018) comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
