Insta360 ONE X (2020) vs Yi 4K (2016)
The Insta360 ONE X2 has done great in quite a few roundups from some of the most highly trusted sources available, such as Tom's Guide, Digital Camera World, and autoexpress.co.uk, which perform high-quality in-depth testing. It got awarded the "Ranked 1 out of 8" title by Tom's Guide, "Ranked 2 out of 9" by Digital Camera World, and "Ranked 1 out of 6" by autoexpress.co.uk in their respective roundups. Earning that much praise from such respected sources is undoubtedly an impressive accomplishment.
Moving on to the Yi 4K Action Camera: it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like CNET, Photography Blog, TrustedReviews, Techradar, and shotkit.com, enough for them to include them on those lists.
We couldn't find any sources that tested both of these Action Cameras, so we only analyzed how they performed in reviews from different sites.
We first examined which sources rated each of these best and found that the Insta360 ONE X2 got its highest, 10, rating from T3, while the Yi 4K Action Camera earned its best, 8.2, score from CNET.
Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Action Cameras on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Action Cameras being 7.4 out of 10, whereas the Insta360 ONE X2 and Yi 4K Action Camera managed averages of 9.1 and 7.8 points, respectively.
Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Insta360 ONE X2 vs. Yi 4K Action Camera comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
