The Kingston SSDNow V300 480GB was well-received by reviewers at MakeUseOf, a trustworthy source that performs unbiased hands-on testing. It did great in their "Get A Cheap Microsoft Surface Pro and More [Tech Deals] - System Builders" roundup - they named it their "Ranked 2 out of 2", which, by itself, suggests that it's a noteworthy product.

Taking a look at the Intel SSD 545s 2.5" 512GB, it got featured in roundups from two reliable sources that conduct their own testing - PCWorld and PCmag - but it fell short of earning a top spot in either.
