Intel SSD Series 760p (2018) vs Adata SX6000 Pro Series SSDs

Analysis:

The Intel SSD 760p 2TB is a relatively good Internal SSD for people that are willing to spend around $1,200. The Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB, by contrast, is quite unremarkable and doesn't stand out in any meaningful way from other products at this price point.

In both cases, however, we recommend that you take look at some other options at the $1,200 and $130 budget ranges; in all likelihood you'll find some better alternatives.

If you're still interested in learning more about the Intel SSD 760p 2TB and Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB, however, we wrote a summary of what we know about them:

The Intel SSD 760p 2TB managed to earn a spot in roundups from two sources that are known for their trustworthy review methodology - Techradar and Wirecutter (NYTimes) - but fell short of making it to the top of their lists.

As for the Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB, it wasn't able to earn a top spot in any roundups from trusted sources that conduct their own hands-on testing. Nevertheless, it managed to impress reviewers at Expert Reviews, PCmag, and Tom's Hardware enough to make it onto their respective shortlists.

We couldn't find any sources that tested both of these Internal SSDs, so we only analyzed how they performed in reviews from different sites.

We first examined which sources rated each of these best and found that the Intel SSD 760p 2TB got its highest, 10, rating from Techradar, while the Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB earned its best, 8, score from Expert Reviews.

Lastly, we compared their average review performance to that of the rest of their competition and found that neither option got received particularly well. With an average rating of 10.0 out of 10, the Intel SSD 760p 2TB performed similarly to most other Internal SSDs on the market - the overall average review score for this product category being 7.8 - while the Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB did worse than most, with its average of 6.4 points.

There's one caveat here - a direct Intel SSD 760p 2TB vs. Adata SX6000 Pro 1TB comparison might not be entirely justifiable due to the difference in their pricing and the fact that some sources tend to give lower ratings to cheaper products because they don't take value for money into account.
