Apple AirPods (2019) vs JLab Jbuds Air Executive

The Apple AirPods (2019) is a great Earphone for its $128 asking price.

The JLab Jbuds Air Executive, however, while a reasonable product for $57, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well. If you're considering Earphones in the $35 range, you might want to check out some better options.

Two highly trusted sources that perform well-thought-out in-depth testing consider the Apple AirPods (2019) to be a great product - it earned the "Most compact -- and top-notch for calls" title from CNET and "Most Comfortable Apple Headphones" from Rtings in their respective Earphone roundups, which is a good indication of it being a notable product.

Moving on to the JLab Jbuds Air Executive: it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like Techradar, Rtings, SoundGuys, Android Authority, PCmag, and Wirecutter (NYTimes), enough for them to include them on those lists.

We analyzed all of the review data that we could find on these two Earphones. First, we examined sources that tested and scored both of these products - Techradar, Android Authority, and Rtings favored the JLab Jbuds Air Executive over the Apple AirPods (2019), whereas reviewers at PCmag haven't shown a preference for either.

Then we took a look at which sources liked them the most - we found that the Apple AirPods (2019) was best received by Lifewire - it gave it a score of 9.6, whereas the JLab Jbuds Air Executive got its highest score of 8 from reviewers at Techradar.

Lastly, we averaged out all of their review ratings and observed that the Apple AirPods (2019), with its 7.7 average, performed considerably better than most Earphones - the mean score for the product category being 7.3 out of 10 - while the JLab Jbuds Air Executive managed an average of 7.0.
