The Columbia Newton Ridge Plus II Waterproof - Men's is widely considered to be a great Hiking Boots at its $40 budget. The Keen Targhee II Low Waterproof - Women's, however, while also a good product at this price point, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well.

The Columbia Newton Ridge Plus II Waterproof - Men's hasn't managed to perform well enough to earn a place in any Hiking Boots roundups conducted by sources that do their own, high-quality, hands-on testing. That alone makes it a hard product to recommend.
