Sony α9 Mirrorless Cameras (2017) vs Leica T Cameras (2017)
The Sony α9 (2017) has managed to impress reviewers from some of the most highly trusted sources on the internet, including PCmag and The Phoblographer. It performed great in their in-depth hands-on roundups - it was awarded the "Ranked 2 out of 10" title by creativebloq.com and "Ranked 1 out of 2" by PCmag in their respective Mirrorless Camera roundups. That's high praise, especially when coming from such high-quality sources.
Moving on to the Leica TL2 (2017): it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like ePHOTOzine, Photography Blog, camerajabber.com, PCmag, Techradar, TrustedReviews, Digital Camera World, and Digital Photography Review, enough for them to include them on those lists.
When we thoroughly analyzed their review scores, we learned that all of the sources that tested both Mirrorless Cameras, including Photography Blog, Techradar, TrustedReviews, camerajabber.com, Digital Camera World, and PCmag, preferred the Sony α9 (2017) over the Leica TL2 (2017).
We also took a look at which sources they managed to impress the most. The Sony α9 (2017) was liked best by Photography Blog, which gave it a score of 10, while the Leica TL2 (2017) got its highest, 8, score from ePHOTOzine.
Lastly, we averaged out all of their review ratings and observed that the Sony α9 (2017), with its 9.3 average, performed considerably better than most Mirrorless Cameras - the mean score for the product category being 7.9 out of 10 - while the Leica TL2 (2017) managed an average of 7.3.
There's one caveat here - it might not be entirely justifiable to do a direct Sony α9 (2017) vs. Leica TL2 (2017) review average comparison since they aren't priced the same and more expensive products tend to get higher review scores from some sources.
