Huawei Mate 10 (2017) vs LG G6

Analysis:

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro (2017) makes for a good, if unremarkable, Smartphone for people with a $360 budget.

The LG G6, however, is merely mediocre at its $188 asking price, when compared to similarly priced products, and won't satisfy the needs of most people.

In either case, we suggest that you first take a look at some other options at the $360 and $180 price points before committing to one of these - it's likely that you'll be able to find some better alternatives.

If you're still interested in learning more about the Huawei Mate 10 Pro (2017) and LG G6, however, we wrote a summary of what we could find about them:

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro (2017) has done really well in a number of roundups conducted by sources that perform their own hands-on testing, such as GadgetMatch, Techradar, and Android Authority - it was awarded the "Best Selfies" title by GadgetMatch, "Best Phone (People's Choice)" by Techradar, and "Ranked 3 out of 10" by Android Authority. That's high praise from reliable sources.

Moving on to the LG G6: it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like GSMArena, Android Authority, Tech Advisor, PhoneArena, CNET, TechSpot, AVForums, slashgear.com, TrustedReviews, Techradar, Expert Reviews, What Hi-Fi?, hardwarezone.com.sg, PCmag, The Verge, Reviewed, and GadgetMatch, enough for them to include them on those lists.

Out of the sources that tested and rated both of these Smartphones, T3, Expert Reviews, Techradar, and TrustedReviews preferred the Huawei Mate 10 Pro (2017), whereas reviewers at Pocket-lint, GSMArena, Digitaltrends, PhoneArena, CNET, and The Verge liked the LG G6 better. Tech Advisor, What Hi-Fi?, PCmag, slashgear.com, and hardwarezone.com.sg gave them identical review scores.

We also took a look at which sources liked these products best - the highest Huawei Mate 10 Pro (2017) rating came from T3, whereas the LG G6 most impressed reviewers at Pocket-lint; they earned scores of 10 and 10, respectively.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Smartphones on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Smartphones being 7.5 out of 10, whereas the Huawei Mate 10 Pro (2017) and LG G6 managed averages of 8.5 and 8.2 points, respectively.

Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Huawei Mate 10 Pro (2017) vs. LG G6 comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
