Huawei Mate 30 (2019) vs LG G6

Analysis:

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro (2019) makes for a good, if unremarkable, Smartphone for people with a $870 budget.

The LG G6, however, is merely mediocre at its $188 asking price, when compared to similarly priced products, and won't satisfy the needs of most people.

In either case, we suggest that you first take a look at some other options at the $870 and $140 price points before committing to one of these - it's likely that you'll be able to find some better alternatives.

If you're still interested in learning more about the Huawei Mate 30 Pro (2019) and LG G6, however, we wrote a summary of what we could find about them:

While the Huawei Mate 30 Pro (2019) wasn't able to make it to the very top of any roundups from sources that perform quality hands-on testing, it still got featured in a large number of them. DXOMARK, Notebookcheck.net, hardwarezone.com.sg, Android Authority, GSMArena, Expert Reviews, AVForums, Digital Camera World, Techradar, CNET, Tom's Guide, Tech Advisor, and Android Central have all deemed it worthy of a place on their respective shortlists.

Moving on to the LG G6: it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like GSMArena, Tech Advisor, Android Authority, PhoneArena, CNET, TechSpot, AVForums, What Hi-Fi?, Techradar, PCmag, TrustedReviews, slashgear.com, Expert Reviews, hardwarezone.com.sg, The Verge, Reviewed, and GadgetMatch, enough for them to include them on those lists.

Out of the sources that tested and rated both of these Smartphones, hardwarezone.com.sg preferred the Huawei Mate 30 Pro (2019), whereas reviewers at GSMArena, Android Authority, CNET, AVForums, and Techradar liked the LG G6 better. Expert Reviews gave them identical review scores.

We also took a look at which sources liked these products best - the highest Huawei Mate 30 Pro (2019) rating came from DXOMARK, whereas the LG G6 most impressed reviewers at Pocket-lint; they earned scores of 9.5 and 10, respectively.

Lastly, in order to better compare them to the rest of their competition, we averaged out their review scores. The LG G6 managed to get 8.2 out of 10 - considerably better than the 7.5 review average of Smartphones in general - whereas the Huawei Mate 30 Pro (2019) earned 7.3 points.

It should be said that doing a direct Huawei Mate 30 Pro (2019) vs. LG G6 comparison might not be entirely fair due to the difference in their prices - some sources don't put much weight on value for money and thus tend to give better review scores to more expensive products.
