Nokia 7.1 (2018) vs LG G6

Analysis:

The Nokia 7.1 (2018) makes for a good, if unremarkable, Smartphone for people with a $280 budget.

The LG G6, however, is merely mediocre at its $188 asking price, when compared to similarly priced products, and won't satisfy the needs of most people.

In either case, we suggest that you first take a look at some other options at the $280 and $140 price points before committing to one of these - it's likely that you'll be able to find some better alternatives.

If you're still interested in learning more about the Nokia 7.1 (2018) and LG G6, however, we wrote a summary of what we could find about them:

The Nokia 7.1 (2018) has managed to impress reviewers from two reliable and objective sources that conduct their own testing, namely Android Central and Android Authority. It did great in their roundups - it earned the "The Best Affordable Phone" title from Android Central, and "Ranked 1 out of 6" from Android Authority, which marks it as a product that's worth considering.

Moving on to the LG G6: it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like GSMArena, Tech Advisor, Android Authority, PhoneArena, CNET, TechSpot, AVForums, Expert Reviews, What Hi-Fi?, PCmag, Techradar, slashgear.com, TrustedReviews, hardwarezone.com.sg, The Verge, Reviewed, Tom's Guide, and GadgetMatch, enough for them to include them on those lists.

We analyzed all of the review data that we could find on these two Smartphones. First, we examined sources that tested and scored both of these products - Pocket-lint, GSMArena, Digitaltrends, Tech Advisor, Expert Reviews, TrustedReviews, and The Verge favored the LG G6 over the Nokia 7.1 (2018), whereas reviewers at PCmag, Techradar, and AVForums haven't shown a preference for either.

Then we took a look at which sources liked them the most - we found that the Nokia 7.1 (2018) was best received by Android Central - it gave it a score of 9, whereas the LG G6 got its highest score of 10 from reviewers at Pocket-lint.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Smartphones on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Smartphones being 7.5 out of 10, whereas the Nokia 7.1 (2018) and LG G6 managed averages of 7.7 and 8.2 points, respectively.

Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Nokia 7.1 (2018) vs. LG G6 comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
