Samsung Galaxy Note9 (2018) vs LG G6

Analysis:

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 (2018) is a great Smartphone for its $534 asking price.

The LG G6, however, is merely passable at its $188 price point. If you're considering buying a Smartphone in the $160 range, you might want to check out some of its competitors.

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 (2018) was loved by reviewers at Tom's Guide, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best used smartphones 2020" roundup where it was named its "One of the most premium phones at an unbeatable price", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

As for the LG G6 analysis - it impressed reviewers at Android Central, a source that's known for its objective testing and well-thought-out methodology - it performed great in its "Best T-Mobile Prepaid Phones" roundup and earned the "Best for less" title.

Out of the sources that tested and rated both of these Smartphones, T3, What Hi-Fi?, TrustedReviews, PCmag, Techradar, CNET, PhoneArena, TechSpot, and The Verge preferred the Samsung Galaxy Note9 (2018), whereas reviewers at Pocket-lint, Android Authority, and Digitaltrends liked the LG G6 better. GSMArena, Tech Advisor, slashgear.com, and AVForums gave them identical review scores.

We also took a look at which sources liked these products best - the highest Samsung Galaxy Note9 (2018) rating came from T3, whereas the LG G6 most impressed reviewers at Pocket-lint; they earned scores of 10 and 10, respectively.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Smartphones on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Smartphones being 7.5 out of 10, whereas the Samsung Galaxy Note9 (2018) and LG G6 managed averages of 8.8 and 8.2 points, respectively.

Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Samsung Galaxy Note9 (2018) vs. LG G6 comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
