Analysis:

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (2016) is a great Smartphone for its $379 asking price.

The LG G6, however, is merely passable at its $188 price point. If you're considering buying a Smartphone in the $160 range, you might want to check out some of its competitors.

While the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (2016) wasn't able to make it to the very top of any roundups from sources that perform quality hands-on testing, it still got featured in a large number of them. What Hi-Fi?, Techradar, Expert Reviews, TechSpot, GSMArena, Android Authority, CNET, TrustedReviews, PCmag, PhoneArena, Tom's Guide, DXOMARK, GadgetMatch, and Gear Patrol have all deemed it worthy of a place on their respective shortlists.

As for the LG G6 - it impressed reviewers at Android Central, a trustworthy source that conducts solid hands-on testing. It did great in its "Best T-Mobile Prepaid Phones" roundup - in fact, it earned its "Best for less" title, which, on its own, indicates a certain level of quality.

Out of the sources that tested and rated both of these Smartphones, T3, What Hi-Fi?, Techradar, Expert Reviews, TechSpot, Android Authority, CNET, TrustedReviews, PCmag, and PhoneArena preferred the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (2016), whereas reviewers at Digitaltrends liked the LG G6 better. Pocket-lint and GSMArena gave them identical review scores.

We also took a look at which sources liked these products best - the highest Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (2016) rating came from T3, whereas the LG G6 most impressed reviewers at Pocket-lint; they earned scores of 10 and 10, respectively.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Smartphones on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Smartphones being 7.5 out of 10, whereas the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (2016) and LG G6 managed averages of 9.2 and 8.2 points, respectively.
