MakerBot Replicator 6th gen (2016) vs Creality3D CR-10 (2019)
The MakerBot Replicator+ 6th gen (2016) managed to impress reviewers from two reliable and unbiased sources that conduct their own hands-on testing, namely Popular Mechanics and Expert Reviews. It performed great in their roundups - it earned the "Best for Printing Metal" title from Popular Mechanics and "Ranked 1 out of 6" from Expert Reviews, which makes it a product worthy of consideration.
As for the Creality3D CR-10 v2 (2019) - TechGearLab, a source that conducts reliable hands-on testing, has featured it in its Creality 3D CR-10 V2 Review roundup. However, it didn't make it to any of the top spots.
We couldn't find any sources that tested both of these 3D Printers, so we only analyzed how they performed in reviews from different sites.
We first examined which sources rated each of these best and found that the MakerBot Replicator+ 6th gen (2016) got its highest, 8, rating from PCmag, while the Creality3D CR-10 v2 (2019) earned its best, 9, score from TechGearLab.
Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other 3D Printers on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by 3D Printers being 7.3 out of 10, whereas the MakerBot Replicator+ 6th gen (2016) and Creality3D CR-10 v2 (2019) managed averages of 8.0 and 9.0 points, respectively.
Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct MakerBot Replicator+ 6th gen (2016) vs. Creality3D CR-10 v2 (2019) comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
